Updating to Embodied Labs 4.0

Embodied Labs 4.0 is here! These are the required steps to install:

Download, Install, & Configure Brave Web Browser

Please follow the instructions below to download and install the Brave web browser. This step is necessary for VR. Web Immersive labs are still functional on all browsers.

  1. Click here or go to “Brave.com” to go to the Brave website. Once there, you’ll select “Download Now” on the center of the page. This will download the installer.
  2. Once the download has finished, double-click the download to run the installer. A white box will appear for a short time showing the steps of its install, and once it’s completed, the Brave web browser will open.

  3. On the new browser window that has opened, navigate to app.embodiedlabs.com
    1. When you see the login screen, sign into your account.
    2. Once logged in, you’ll select the “red lion/shield” icon up by the address bar (pictured below).
    3. On the little window that appears, where it says “Shields are UP,” click on the toggle so it says “Shields are DOWN.”

  4. Once that is set, we’ll now go in and select a Story Lab and do the same thing.
    1. On the Embodied Labs page, select “Launch Online Labs.”
    2. Choose any Story Lab, then choose any module, and proceed through the slides until you reach a button that says “Start Experience.” Click on “Start Experience.”
    3. Once you see the “Start” button, there is no need to start the lab. Go back up to the “red lion/shield” icon by the address bar, and once again click on the toggle to change from “Shields are UP” to “Shields are DOWN” for cache.app.embodiedlabs.com.

  1. You can close the browser after this has been set.
